Sideshow Accident near Olin Avenue Left Spectator and Officer Injured

SAN JOSE, CA (June 24, 2024) – Saturday evening, a sideshow accident on Winchester Boulevard led to the arrest of Aidan Rehault

Police responded to reports of sideshow activity around 7:00 p.m., at the intersection of Winchester Boulevard and Olin Avenue. 

According to reports, one of the vehicles struck a spectator during the activity. As a result, a reserve San Jose officer responded to the incident. The deliberate assault on the officer’s vehicle prevented the officer from rendering aid to the injured spectator. 

The officer received minor injuries from the incident. Eventually, additional officers arrived at the scene, causing the remaining crowd to disperse. 

On Monday, the authorities announced the arrest of 24-year-old Aidan Rehault in connection to the sideshow incident. 

At this time, the investigators are working to identify and arrest those who participated in or watched the sideshow. Once available, further details will be provided.
