1 Dead, 1 Arrested after DUI Collision on State Route 167 [Sumner, WA]
One Fatally Injured in DUI Accident near State Route 410
SUMNER, WA (June 24, 2024) – Early Wednesday, one victim was killed and another was arrested after a DUI collision on State Route 167.
Authorities responded to the scene just after 4:20 a.m., near State Route 410 on June 5th.
Reports indicate that the driver of a northbound vehicle veered off the road while heading north.
The northbound vehicle then crashed into the center median before striking another car that was heading west on State Route 410. In addition, a third vehicle became involved.
Medics pronounced the driver of the vehicle that was hit dead at the scene. Although, police have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Moreover, tow-trucks were dispatched to the scene to clear out all the wreckage. Following preliminary duties, police arrested the suspect and he was determined to be intoxicated. He was charged with DUI and vehicular homicide.
An active investigation to determine further information about the fatal DUI collision on State Route 167 is underway.
