68-Year-Old Female Passenger Killed in Head-On Collision near Mashell Prairie Road

EATONVILLE, WA (June 20, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, one woman was pronounced dead after a head-on crash on State Route 7.

Authorities responded to the scene just after 4:00 p.m., near Mashell Prairie Road on June 5th.

Troopers determined that one of the pickup-trucks was traveling northbound when it crossed over to the southbound lanes.

As a result, the wrong-way vehicle collided head-on with another pickup-truck.

Due to the impact of the crash, a 68-year-old female passenger in the northbound lane truck was pronounced dead at the scene. Although, police have not yet released her identity.

Furthermore, at least three people were extricated from the wreck, and two of them suffered life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders rushed all victims to the hospital.

Emergency crews blocked the surrounding lanes, just north of Mashell Prairie Road during clearing operations. No additional information have been released by the officials, and an active investigation into the fatal car crash on State Route 7 remains ongoing.
