Two Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Accident near West Hatch Road

STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (June 20, 2024) – Sunday, Pedro Ruiz Rivera and Nathaniel Perez died in a solo-car crash on South Carpenter Road.

Dispatchers received calls around 1:30 a.m., near West Hatch Road.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a 2008 Honda Accord was heading north on South Carpenter Road and lost control. The Honda then hit an island and a signal pole at the intersection. 

First responders declared the two occupants of the vehicle dead at the scene. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victims as 19-year-old Rivera and 20-year-old Perez.
