Man Pronouncded Dead after Multi-Traffic Collision near Fremont Boulevard Off-Ramp
FREMONT, CA (June 20, 2024) – Wednesday night, a six-vehicle crash on Interstate 880 claimed the life of a male driver.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:19 p.m., along the freeway’s northbound lanes, near the Fremont Boulevard south off-ramp.
Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. However, reports indicate that six vehicles collided in the area.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding emergency personnel declared a 56-year-old man from Newark man dead at the scene. His name remains undisclosed to the public.
No other injuries were reported from the incident. On Thursday morning, California Highway Patrol officers reopened the northbound lanes.
