30-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Center Street

ARLINGTON, TX (June 19, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, one man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on West Pioneer Parkway.

First responders arrived to the scene around 2:00 a.m., near Center Street on June 9th.

Per reports, the driver of a black Honda Civic was heading east and struck a man who was crossing the intersection.

Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.

The Arlington Police Department responded and found the 30-year-old man lying lifeless on the roadway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man.

Police later located the vehicle but the suspect was not inside. Witnesses told police that the suspect entered a building.

At this time, no arrests were made as officers still have not identified the driver. Further investigation into the fatal pedestrian collision on West Pioneer Parkway remains ongoing.
