42-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Crash near Bellflower Boulevard

LONG BEACH, CA (June 19, 2024) – Early Friday morning, Keith Moore was killed in a bicycle collision on 7th Street.

Police responded to the scene around 5:05 a.m., in the area of 7th Street and Bellflower Boulevard.

Investigators say the driver of a vehicle rear-ended a man riding a bicycle in the No.3 eastbound lanes of 7th Street.

Responding paramedics located the male bicyclist lying along the south sidewalk of 7th Street unconscious. Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the male bicyclist dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office later identified the deceased the victim as 42-year-old Keith Moore.

Authorities said the involved driver remained at the site of the collision and cooperated with the investigators. 

The Long Beach Police Department does not suspect intoxication or speed to be a factor in the incident. Those who witnessed the crash are encouraged to contact Detective Joseph Johnson at 562-570-7355, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
