19-Year-Old Man Charged for DUI after High-Speed Crash near Mountain Avenue
TUCSON, AZ (June 17, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Angel Gudino-Duarte was arrested after a DUI crash on Fort Lowell Road.
The incident happened near the intersection of East Fort Lowell and North Mountain Avenue on June 15th.
Reports indicate that Gudino-Duarte was traveling at high speeds and eventually struck a power pole. The impact caused the vehicle to burst into flames, and caused power outages in the area.
Following preliminary duties, officers arrested 19-year-old Gudino-Duarte for driving under the influence, and charged him with felony criminal damage. He was eventually booked into the Pima County Jail.
In addition, crews say minor injuries were reported after the collision. Authorities have not yet released any further details about the crash to the public. Once available, more information will be released.
