51-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Crash near Miller Road

DALLAS, TX (June 13, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, Gezahegne Bikila was killed in a tractor-trailer collision on LBJ Freeway.

Authorities responded to the scene around 2:45 a.m., near Miller Road on May 12th.

Officers say the driver of a tractor-trailer was heading east on Interstate 635 and crashed into a retaining wall. After exiting the big-rig, the driver of a passing vehicle struck the driver.

Medical personnel transported 41-year-old Bikila, of Forney, Texas to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the other driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No other information was provided, and an active investigation remains ongoing.
