One Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near San Antonio Road On-Ramp

PALO ALTO, CA (June 12, 2024) – Early Friday morning, a three-vehicle crash on Highway 101 took the life of a driver with a disabled vehicle. 

The fatal incident occurred around 2:52 a.m., along the northbound lanes of the highway, just north of San Antonio Road on-ramp. 

According to investigators, the driver of a red Hyundai SUV collided with something that caused their vehicle to be disabled. 

Moments after the Hyundai driver contacted the authorities, a silver sedan and a truck rear-ended the SUV.

First responders declared the driver of the Hyundai dead at the scene. However, their name remains undisclosed to the public at this time. 

Officer Sophie Lu claimed the two other motorists involved and their passengers did not sustain major injuries from the crash.

California Highway Patrol closed the northbound lanes of Highway 10 near the on-ramp as crews cleared the scene.
