17-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Crash near Yorba Linda Boulevard

PLACENTIA, CA (June 11, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a 2-car collision on Valencia Avenue killed Zach Henn and left four others injured. 

Dispatchers received calls around 8:20 a.m., near Yorba Linda Boulevard.

Officers say the teenage driver of a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette collided with a Range Rover. The Range Rover was driven by a 39-year-old woman with two juvenile passengers.

Medical personnel extricated the teen Corvette driver and transported him to a hospital. Due to the extent of his condition, he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District identified the deceased driver as 17-year-old Zach Henn. He was a Junior at El Dorado High School. 

Meanwhile, the woman driving the Range Rover and her two passengers were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger of Henn’s vehicle was also hospitalized. 

At this time, further circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear. Placentia Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Once available, further details will be provided.
