One Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Collision near Interstate 90

ISSAQUAH, WA (June 11, 2024) – Wednesday evening, one driver was killed in a wrong-way accident on State Route 18.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., near Interstate 90 on May 29th.

Per reports, the driver of an eastbound vehicle crossed the centerline for reasons unknown. As a result, the wrong-way car crashed into two other vehicles.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the driver of the wrong-way vehicle dead at the scene.

Moreover, it was unknown if there were any other injuries resulted by the collision.

Police also closed the highway for more than three hours before it was reopened. Further investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal wrong-way accident on State Route 18.
