One Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Tres Alamos Road
CONGRESS, AZ (June 11, 2024) – Thursday morning, one person was pronounced dead after a multi-car collision on US Highway 93.
Authorities responded to the scene just before 7:50 a.m., near Tres Alamos Road on May 30th.
Troopers learned that a box truck attempted to cross the centerline and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
In addition, a truck hauling a dirt-form copper concentrate and a second vehicle, which overturned, was involved in the collision.
The box truck driver did not survive the crash, and police later declared the victim dead. Although, troopers have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Moreover, crews say flames from the incident spread to nearby brush before firefighters were able to contain the fire. Both directions were blocked during the length of the incident. All lanes have been reopened since, but further investigation remains ongoing.
Our warm and sincerest sympathies go out to the friends and family of the deceased victim.
