Four Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near La Grange Road

TUOLUMNE COUNTY (June 10, 2024) – Friday, Michael Keith, Donna Yarnal, Cindi Schucterman and Janelle Hall died in a crash on Bonds Flat Road. 

Dispatchers received calls around 5:00 p.m., near La Grange Road.

Officers say the driver of a northbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup-truck crossed over the double-yellow lines while trying to pass another motorist. As a result, the pickup-truck collided with a Toyota Highlander traveling southbound on the same roadway. 

Responding medical personnel declared the three occupants of the pickup-truck, and the driver of the Highlander dead at the scene. 

Officials later identified the victims as 56-year-old Michael Keith, of Stockton. Keith’s two passengers were identified as 66-year-old Donna Yarnal, of Modesto and 65-year-old Cindi Schucterman, of Salida. 

Crews also identified the driver of the Highlander, as 33-year-old Janelle Hall of La Grange. The loved ones of Hall set up a GoFundMe page to help with costs during this difficult time.
