Woman Critically Injured Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Cole Avenue [Los Angeles, CA]
Suspect at Large after Pedestrian Collision near Santa Monica Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 5, 2024) – Saturday evening, a woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Cole Avenue.
The incident occurred around 6:35 p.m., near Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood.
According to investigators, the driver of a 2004-2010 four-door black Pontiac hit the victim and fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
Eventually, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the 84-year-old woman to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, police are searching for the Pontiac, believed to have rear-tinted windows and a missing front license plate. The city of Los Angeles is also offering a reward of $25,000 to anyone who can lead the police to the arrest of the suspect.
