63-Year-Old Watsonville Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident near Pajaro Lane

SANTA CRUZ, CA  (June 5, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, one man was hospitalized following a pedestrian crash on Airport Boulevard. 

Police responded to the scene around 4:50 a.m. in the area of Airport Boulevard, just east of Pajaro Lane.

Officers say the driver of a white Tesla Model Y struck a pedestrian who was walking in the middle of the road.

Medical responders transported the victim, identified as a 63-year-old Watsonville man, to Natividad Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. 

Meanwhile, the 73-year-old Aptos man driving the Tesla remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
