70-Year-Old Newman Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Cabe Road

TRACY, CA (June 4, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Eleventh Street.

Authorities responded to the scene around 1:00 a.m., just west of Cabe Road outside of Tracy. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified vehicle hit the victim walking on the shoulder of the roadway.

Reports indicate that the woman stepped directly into the path of the car resulting in a collision and threw the victim on the south edge of the roadway. 

First responders eventually declared the 70-year-old woman, from Newman deceased at the scene. However, her identity remains undisclosed to the public.
