Several Injured in Multi-Car Collision near Taylor Street and Hotel Circle

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 4, 2024) – Late Wednesday morning, eight victims were hospitalized after a five-vehicle accident on Interstate 8.

Police officers responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway near Taylor Street around 11:45 a.m., in Hotel Circle in Mission Valley. 

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, California Highway Patrol officers determined that at least five vehicles were involved.

Paramedics arrived and transported eight victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries. Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area during clearing operations.

An active investigation to determine more information is still currently underway.
