One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Broadway Boulevard

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (May 30, 2024) – Monday afternoon, one victim was killed in a pedestrian accident on Lomas Boulevard Northeast.

First responders arrived to the scene around 3:45 p.m., near Broadway Boulevard on May 6th.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area.

Upon arrival, authorities located the victim lying on the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of their condition, medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Authorities blocked the southbound lanes of Broadway Boulevard between Roma Avenue and Lomas Boulevard while they conducted further investigation.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the length of the incident, and no other information was released. Authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the victim, and the crash remains under investigation.
