Teen Girl Fatally Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on West Cholla Street [Peoria, AZ]
17-Year-Old Teenager Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident on 75th Avenue
PEORIA, AZ (May 29, 2024) – Late Wednesday morning, one teen girl was fatally injured in a two-vehicle collision on West Cholla Street.
The incident occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m., near 75th Avenue. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.
Investigators say the driver of a Chevrolet Avalanche was heading south and struck a Toyota Scion that was making a left turn onto Cholla Street West.
The impact of the crash caused serious injuries to two occupants inside the Toyota. In addition, the Chevrolet driver suffered minor injuries.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the involved 17-year-old teenage girl deceased. Although, authorities have not yet released her name or place of residency.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal two-vehicle collision on Cholla Street.
