Man Killed, Victor Soto Jr. and Taeshon Ogan Hurt in Two-Car Collision on Avenal Cutoff Road [Kings County, CA]
Man Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near Enterprise Avenue
KINGS COUNTY, CA (May 29, 2024) – Early Sunday, Victor Soto Jr. and Taeshon Ogan were hospitalized after a fatal crash on Avenal Cutoff Road.
Dispatcher received calls around 2:15 a.m., near Enterprise Avenue just south of 25th Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers determined that a northbound blue 2024 Chevrolet Malibu crossed over the center divider for reasons unknown.
As a result, the Malibu collided head-on with a southbound white 2016 Ford F-150. Responding emergency units declared the 23-year-old Fresno man driving the Malibu dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted the F-150 driver, identified as 51-year-old Victor Soto Jr. of Visalia, to a hospital for major injuries. A passenger from the Malibu, identified as 20-year-old Taeshoin Ogan of Fresno was also airlifted to a hospital for treatment of significant injuries.
At this time, the investigators are working to determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident. Those who witnessed the fatal two-vehicle crash are encouraged to contact the CHP Hanford-area office at 559-582-0231.
