1 Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 215 [Las Vegas, NV]
2 Hurt in 2-Vehicle Collision near Jones Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 29, 2024) – Sunday morning, one person died and two others sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 215.
The collision happened around 4:01 a.m., just west of the Jones Boulevard off-ramp.
According to police, the driver of a 2013 Kia Optima was traveling east on the freeway at a high rate of speed.
The Kia then hit the back of a 2022 Toyota Corolla, causing the Kia to rotate clockwise and travel across all the lanes. The Kia then struck a concrete barrier while the Toyota rotated counterclockwise across the lanes before also striking a concrete barrier wall.
Paramedics arrived and transported three occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced one woman deceased. Although, police have not yet released her identity.
At this time, the total number of injuries from the crash remains unclear. No further details are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
