68-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Car vs Motorcycle Crash near East J Street
LA MESA, CA (May 28, 2024) – Late Saturday night, a motorcycle collision on Interstate 805 claimed the life of Mark Darulis.
Authorities responded to the scene around 11:45 p.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near East J Street.
According to the police, a man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a broken-down vehicle on the highway.
The impact of the crash ejected the rider from his motorcycle, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.
Responding medical personnel declared the male motorcyclist dead at the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the deceased rider as 68-year-old Darulis, of La Mesa.
