Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on West Freeway [Forth Worth, TX]
Unidentified Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision near Interstate 30
FORTH WORTH, TX (May 28, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, one man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on West Freeway.
First responders arrived to the scene just after 1:30 a.m., near Interstate 30 on May 22nd after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Forth Worth Police troopers arrived and discovered a man lying on the roadway with no signs of life. Investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck the man as he was running in the area.
Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without offering assistance or contacting authorities. At this time, the suspect still remains at large.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding road for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
Police officers have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim. An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian accident on West Freeway.
