3 Motorcyclists Hospitalized after DUI Collision near Milepost 286

SPOKANE, WA (May 27, 2024) – Monday, Elias Carrero, Brendan Silver, and Kylee Ward were hurt in a DUI motorcycle crash on Interstate 90.

First responders arrived to the scene around 10:30 p.m., near mile post 283 on May 11th.

Reports indicate that Carrero was riding a motorcycle and rear-ended another motorcycle, operated by Silver with Ward as a passenger.

The impact pushed both bikes onto the right shoulder, while the riders landed on the left shoulder.

Medical personnel arrived and transported 28-year-old Carrero, 20-year-old Silver, and 20-year-old Ward to a hospital for further treatment.

Following preliminary duties, officers suspect impairment as a factor. Both motorcycles, a 2006 Suzuki and a 2019 Kawasaki, were destroyed in the collision. Notably, all three riders were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.

The Washington State Patrol has not released any additional information regarding the DUI motorcycle crash on I-90, and the collision remains under investigation.
