Male Driver Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash on Jackson Road [Rancho Murieta, CA]
Man Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Murieta South Parkway
RANCHO MURIETA, CA (May 22, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a 3-vehicle crash on Jackson Road left one male driver with fatal injuries.
Authorities responded to the scene just west of Murieta South Parkway around 4:30 p.m.
According to investigators, the male driver of a westbound Acura RDX veered left on Jackson Road. As a result, the Acura collided with a Toyota Corolla in the eastbound lanes. The Acura then struck an oncoming Toyota Tacoma head-on.
Responding medical personnel declared the Acura driver dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the two other drivers sustained minor to moderate injuries.
Following preliminary duties, authorities suspect alcohol to be a factor in the incident. California Highway Patrol officers closed the eastbound lanes of Jackson Road as crews cleared the scene.
Rancho Murieta Officials continue to investigate the fatal three-vehicle crash. Once available, further details will be provided.
