Jonathon Tucker Killed in Multi-Car Collision on State Route 62 [Desert Hot Springs, CA]
22-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Crash near Indian Canyon Drive
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (May 21, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, Jonathon Tucker was killed in a multi-car collision on State Route 62.
Police officers responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway near North Indian Canyon Drive around 2:25 a.m.
Crews say the driver of a Hyundai made a left turn onto North Indian Canyon Drive and collided with an eastbound Dodge on SR-62. The impact pushed the Dodge in a northeasterly direction at the intersection.
There, the Dodge collided with a street light, causing life-threatening injuries. Responding emergency personnel declared the man driving the Dodge dead at the scene.
The deceased driver was later identified as 22-year-old Tucker, of Twentynine Palms.
Meanwhile, the Yucca Valley man driving the Hyundai sustained minor injuries from the incident. Police do not suspect intoxication to be a factor in the incident.
