One Hospitalized after Suspected DUI Collision near A Street

GALT, CA (May 21, 2024) – Early Tuesday evening, police arrested Alfredo Robles after a school bus crash on Oak Avenue. 

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m., near A Street in the city of Galt. 

Upon arrival, officers learned that the driver of a white pickup-truck with a Wilbur-Ellis logo on the side collided with a school bus.

The school bus contained 20 students with the Galt Unified School District. However, none of the students sustained injury.

First responders transported the bus driver to a nearby hospital after complaints of pain.

Following preliminary duties, authorities arrested the pickup-truck driver, identified as 66-year-old Alfredo Robles of Galt, for suspected DUI.

No further details regarding the Oak Avenue school bus crash have been released. The CHP will provide more information once available.
