Belinda Baliton Dead, Anthony Ryan Scott Arrested after DUI Crash on Hancock Avenue [Murrieta, CA]
73-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near Parkcrest Drive
MURRIETA, CA (May 20, 2024) – Wednesday, Belinda Baliton was killed and Anthony Ryan Scott was arrested after a DUI crash on Hancock Avenue.
Police officers responded to the scene around 11:50 p.m., near Parkcrest Boulevard.
For DUI related reasons, the driver of a vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle.
Emergency responders transported the female passenger of the second vehicle to Wildomar’s Inland Valley Hospital where she died from her injuries. Crews later identified the deceased victim as 73-year-old Baliton, of Murrieta.
Paramedics also took the driver of the vehicle to a nearby hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Following the collision, authorities detained the drunk driver for suspicion of DUI gross vehicular manslaughter, and several other charges. 29-year-old Scott, of Murrieta was booked into Byrd Detention Center before being released after posting a $75,000 bail.
Reports also indicated that another passenger sustained non life-threatening injuries from the incident.
