Woman Fatally Struck in Head-On Crash near Laguna Road
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (May 16, 2024) – Early Monday morning, a woman was killed in a DUI collision on Guerneville Road.
The fatal collision happened around 5:39 a.m., just west of Laguna Road in the unincorporated community of Graton.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle veered over the double-yellow lines and collided head-on with another car.
The impact of the crash trapped one of the female drivers in her vehicle, leaving her with fatal injuries. Her identity remains undisclosed to the public at this time.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the other woman to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for further treatment of moderate injuries. Following preliminary duties, officers arrested her for felony DUI.
The Sonoma County officials closed the area of Laguna Road as crews cleared the scene.
