Three Dead, Three Injured in Single-Car Accident near Vista Avenue
PASADENA, CA (May 16, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Mohed Samuel, Michael Pfeiffer, and Alexander Espino died in a solo-car crash.
The incident occurred around 2:38 a.m., at the 2300 bock of Foothill Boulevard near Vista Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a Tesla Model 3 was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light before losing control and veering off the road. The Tesla then slammed into a power pole and a nearby building.
First responders declared three of the six occupants inside the Tesla dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the three other patients were rushed to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Authorities identified the deceased victims as 22-year-old Samuel, 20-year-old Pfeiffer, and 19-year-old Espino.
