21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision on Business Park Drive

ROHNERT PARK, CA (May 15, 2024) – Late Wednesday evening, one man was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on Redwood Drive.

Dispatchers received calls in the area around 10:30 p.m., near Business Park Drive on May 8th.

Authorities arrived and determined that a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided near the intersection.

Reports indicate that the 21-year-old rider of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. Consequently, emergency responders transported the rider to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Crews also took the involved driver and two occupants from inside the vehicle to the same hospital for further treatment.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the motorcyclist deceased. Although, police have not yet released his identity.

Preliminary investigation showed that the vehicle was traveling northbound on Redwood Drive while the rider headed south. The vehicle then made a left turn into the path of the rider, causing a collision.

Following preliminary duties, alcohol or drugs were not suspected as a factor in the incident. Further investigations are handled by the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, and witnesses are urged to contact police at (707) 584-2600.
