2 Men Killed in Helicopter Crash on Lantana Ridge [San Antonio, TX]
Two Men Pronounced Dead after Plane Accident near US Highway 281
SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 15, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a helicopter crash on Lantana Ridge killed a pilot and a passenger.
Police officers responded to the scene around 3:00 p.m., at the 600 block of Lantana Ridge near US Highway 281.
According to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, a pilot and a passenger were aboard a Hummingbird 260L experimental amateur-built helicopter at the time.
For reasons under investigation, the helicopter crashed in the area, resulting in the death of the two male occupants. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
No additional information was added at this time. The Federal Aviation Administration and the Texas Department of Public Safety are handling further investigations. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal helicopter crash on Lantana Ridge.
