One Pronounced Dead after Auto-Pedestrian Collision near Goodrich Avenue

AUSTIN, TX (May 14, 2024) – Wednesday night in April, one victim was killed in a pedestrian accident on 2200 block of South Lamar Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 8:43 p.m., near Goodrich Avenue on April 10th.

Per reports, a car hit a pedestrian on the 2200 block of South Lamar Boulevard. As a result, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and was rushed to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.

Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian later succumbed to their injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the auto-pedestrian crash on Lamar Boulevard remain under active investigation. Police do not suspect intoxication to be a factor in the collision. Once available, further details will be provided.
