Mark Adams Dead, Guadalupe Alvarez Arrested after DUI Motorcycle Collision on 21st Street [Phoenix, AZ]
57-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after DUI Motorcycle Accident on Broadway Road
PHOENIX, AZ (May 14, 2024) – Thursday, Mark Adams was killed and Guadalupe Alvarez was arrested after a DUI collision on 21st Street.
Police officers responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m., near Broadway Road on May 2nd after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
For DUI related reasons, Alvarez was driving a vehicle when she made a U-turn in front of a motorcyclist. As a result, the two vehicles collided at the intersection.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the rider, Adams, suffering from critical injuries. Paramedics immediately transported him to a local hospital for further treatment.
Due to the extent of his condition, 57-year-old Adams later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the suspect, Guadalupe Lopez Lopez Alvarez remained at the scene. Following preliminary duties, police determined that she had drugs in her system while driving. Consequently, authorities booked and arrested 43-year-old Alvarez with one count of manslaughter.
