Unidentified Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Dietrich Road

SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 14, 2024) – Sunday night in April, one unidentified man was killed while chasing dogs on Interstate 10.

Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 10:00 p.m., near Dietrich Road.

Investigators say the male driver of a vehicle was experiencing RV problems and pulled over to the right shoulder of the freeway. His dogs then became loose and ran onto the road.

As the man was chasing his dogs, the driver of a commercial propane-truck struck him. Upon impact, the truck driver failed to stop and continued driving.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the male victim dead at the scene. Although, police officers have not yet released his identity.
