Unidentified Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Mine Shaft Drive

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (May 14, 2024) – Early Monday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Folsom Boulevard. 

Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 6:10 p.m., near Mine Shaft Drive after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

At this time, there are a few details available regarding the cause of the incident. However, first responders declared a male pedestrian deceased at the scene. 

The Sacramento County Coroner has not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.

Authorities said the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

In the end, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office closed the westbound Folsom Boulevard for further investigation before it was later reopened.
