Michael Peczynski Dies in Red-Light Collision on Cactus Road [Phoenix, AZ]
70-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Red-Light Crash near North 40th Street
PHOENIX, AZ (May 13, 2024) – Early Monday morning, a red-light collision on Cactus Road claimed the life of Michael Peczynski.
Around 5:30 a.m., dispatchers received calls near North 40th Street, on May 6th.
According to reports, Peczynski was driving an SUV west on Cactus Road and failed to yield at a red light near North 40th Street. As a result, Peczynski collided with a southbound four-door sedan and overturned.
First responders located the SUV on its roof upon arrival. Paramedics quickly transported Peczynski to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medical personnel pronounced 70-year-old Peczynski deceased.
Meanwhile, the other driver sustained serious injuries, and emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital where he is now in stable condition.
No other updates were released at this time, and further investigation is being handled by the Phoenix Police.
