28-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Northwestern Drive

EL PASO, TX (May 13, 2024) – Monday morning, Alexis Rivera was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on Hunter Foster Drive.

The incident took place at the 7700 block of Hunter Foster Drive near Northwestern Drive, just before 7:00 a.m., on May 6th.

El Paso Police officers determined that a motorcyclist was heading northbound on Enchanted Pass, approaching Hunter Foster Drive.

There, the motorcyclist failed to control the 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle and crashed into a curb, a barricade, and a sign. The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle onto the road, causing critical injuries.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 28-year-old Rivera, of Sunland Park, New Mexico deceased.

Following preliminary duties, investigators say Rivera was not wearing his helmet at the time. Further investigation is being handled by the Special Traffic Investigations Unit. Once available, more details will be provided.
