Minor Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash near Hinebaugh Creek

ROHNERT PARK, CA (May 13, 2024) – Friday morning, Angel Antonio Martinez was arrested and a minor was hurt in a hit-and-run on Snyder Lane.

Around 8:30 a.m., police officers responded to the scene near Hinebaugh Creek and Rancho Cotate High School.

Per reports, the driver of a white Ford Mustang was heading north and struck a minor who was walking in the area. Upon impact, the Mustang driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. 

Responding paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators claimed the young boy was riding a scooter at the time of the incident. 

Following the collision, authorities managed to track down the driver of the vehicle. Police arrested 22-year-old Angel Antonio Martinez, of Cotati for felony hit-and-run and violating probation.
