Christian Rivera Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 99 [Turlock, CA]
26-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after SUV Collision near Lander Avenue
TURLOCK, CA (May 10, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a two-vehicle collision along Highway 99 took the life of Christian Rivera.
Authorities responded to the scene around 9:35 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway just north of Lander Avenue.
According to reports, the driver of a 2010 Mazda sedan collided with a 2022 Ford SUV while they were both heading south in the No. 1 lane. The impact pushed the Mazda in a southwest direction before entering the west shoulder where it rolled over several times.
The crash caused the Mazda driver to be ejected from his vehicle. Responding paramedics transported the male Mazda driver to Doctors Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police also said the 28-year-old San Jose woman driving the Ford was unharmed.
Later, the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased driver as 26-year-old Rivera, of Modesto. Turlock Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. Once available, further details will be provided.
