Antoinette Finau Dies in DUI Collision on East 14th Street [San Leandro, CA]
Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Dispatcher Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near 150th Avenue
SAN LEANDRO, CA (May 9, 2024) – Sunday, a DUI collision on East 14th Street claimed the life of Sheriff’s Office dispatcher Antoinette Finau.
Around 11:14 p.m., police officers responded to the scene at the intersection of East 14th Street and 150th Avenue.
According to the police, a driver broadsided another vehicle at the intersection, causing the victim’s car to roll over. Responding emergency personnel rushed the driver of the overturned vehicle to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the other driver for suspected DUI.
Later, officials identified the deceased victim as Antoinette Finau. Finau was an emergency dispatcher for the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
At this time, the Traffic Division officers are leading the investigation. Those who witnessed the fatal DUI Crash are encouraged to contact San Leandro officials as soon as possible.
