One Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle-Auto Collision near Coppola Avenue

VISALIA, CA (May 8, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, a motorcycle crash on Demaree Street took the life of one rider.

The fatal collision happened around 5:32 p.m., in the area of Demaree Street and Copolla Avenue.

According to police, the driver a southbound Lexus RX 350 was attempting to make an eastbound turn on Copolla. There, the Lexus collided with a motorcyclist, leaving the rider with life-threatening injuries. 

Responding medical personnel transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

It was unclear if the driver of the Lexus sustained injuries from the incident. Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the collision. 

No further details regarding the fatal Demaree Street motorcycle crash have been released to the public. Visalia Officials will provide more information once it is available.
