Man Killed, 2 Injured in Pedestrian Collision on Oceanside Boulevard [Oceanside, CA]
21-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near College Boulevard
OCEANSIDE, CA (May 6, 2024) – Sunday evening, one man was pronounced dead after a pedestrian collision on Oceanside Boulevard.
Authorities responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m., just west of College Boulevard.
Officers say the driver of an eastbound Toyota Corolla struck three people who were crossing the street. Following the incident, the driver pulled over and contacted emergency personnel.
First responders transported all three victims, a 21-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, to a nearby hospital.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the 21-year-old man deceased at the hospital. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian collision on Oceanside Boulevard.
Following preliminary duties, police do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash on College Boulevard. Oceanside Officials are asking anyone with additional information regarding the fatal pedestrian crash to contact Officer Kevin Lissner at (760) 435-4651.
