Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near West 21st Street

SANTA ANA, CA (May 6, 2024) – Late Saturday night, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Bristol Street. 

Shortly after 10:00 p.m., police officers responded to the 2100 block of North Bristol Street near West 21st Street.

Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a northbound vehicle hit a pedestrian walking west across Bristol Street.

Despite life-saving efforts of first responders, the male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. However, his identity has not been revealed to the public at this time.

Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the site of the incident and cooperated with the investigators. 

Following preliminary duties, police officers do not suspect alcohol and drugs to be a factor in the collision. The Santa Ana Officials are asking those who witnessed the deadly Bristol Street pedestrian crash to contact Detective Corporal D. Carrillo at 714-245-8208.
