45-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Ocean Pointe
OCEANSIDE, CA (May 3, 2024) – Monday evening, a man was fatally struck by two vehicles in a pedestrian collision on Mission Avenue.
Around 9:00 p.m., police officers responded to the scene near Ocean Pointe.
Per reports, the driver of an eastbound Nissan Murano hit the pedestrian crossing who was crossing Mission Avenue in a westerly direction. Shortly after, another vehicle ran over the man in the roadway.
First responders declared the male victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the two involved drivers remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with the authorities.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding roadway for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, the Oceanside officials only identified the deceased victim as a 45-year-old man.
