13-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Country Club Lane
ESCONDIDO, CA (May 2, 2024) – Alexander Oroz was arrested Saturday night, after a fatal DUI crash on North Broadway.
The deadly collision happened shortly before 10:00 p.m., at the intersection of North Broadway and Country Club Lane.
Per reports, officers discovered multiple people at the scene suffering from injuries.
Responding medical personnel transported all patients to nearby hospitals, including a 13-year-old boy. After a short while, the teenage victim succumbed to his injuries at the Palomar Medical Center. Although, his name was not disclosed to the public at this time.
Meanwhile, police officers arrested one of the drivers involved in the collision.
Following preliminary duties, 20-year-old Alexander Tito Oroz was charged with felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. Authorities booked Oroz into the Vista Detention Facility.
Authorities are asking those who witnessed the fatal DUI crash to contact Officer Paul Smyth at 760-839-4423. Once available, further details will be provided.
