23-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead, 23-Year-Old Woman Charged after DUI Collision near Oak Drive

NEVADA COUNTY, CA (May 2, 2024) – Sunday morning, Kasey Patrick died and Isabella Christmon was arrested after a DUI crash on Highway 49.

Just before 2:15 a.m., police officers responded to the scene near Oak Drive on April 28th.

Reports confirm that Christmon was driving a 2016 Volkswagen Passat, and lost control while navigating a curve, sending the vehicle off the highway.

The Volkswagen struck multiple oak trees and descended down a steep hillside before coming to rest about 45 feet away from the road.

As a result, 23-year-old Kasey Patrick of Nevada, Christmon’s passenger, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities rushed 23-year-old Christmon, who suffered serious injuries, to the hospital. Later, she faced charges of DUI.
