Sergio Delgado, Jeremy Hess Killed in Multi-Car Accident on Texas Road [Edinburg, TX]
Two Pronounced Dead after Four-Vehicle Collision near Farm-to-Market Road 907
EDINBURG, TX (April 30, 2024) – Tuesday morning, Sergio Delgado and Jeremy Hess were killed in a multi-car accident on Texas Road.
Police officers responded to the scene just before 9:50 a.m., near Farm-to-Market Road 907 on April 23rd.
Investigators determined that Hess was driving a red Ford Escape east on Texas Road and failed to stop at a stop sign.
As a result, the Ford struck a red Nissan Versa, driven by Delgado, who was heading south on FM 907.
The Nissan also struck a northbound brown Cadillac SRX, pushing it into the southeast corner and causing it to catch fire. Meanwhile, the Ford slammed into a power pole and a nearby Ford Ecoline van, ejecting Hess onto the road.
First responders pronounced 29-year-old Delgado dead at the scene.
Medics also transported 43-year-old Hess and the Cadillac driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics later pronounced Hess deceased.
No other updates were released by the authorities, and the crash remains under investigation.
