Man Fatally Injured, Woman Arrested after DUI Collision near Plumas Lake

YUBA COUNTY, CA (April 25, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Shelby Little was arrested after a fatal DUI accident on Highway 70.

The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m., near Plumas Lake on April 13th.

According to reports, a 55-year-old Olivehurst man swerved his red Nissan sedan off Highway 70 near the Feather River Boulevard exit.

Subsequently, the vehicle crashed into several trees as it left the road, then rolled back onto the southbound lanes of Highway 70, ultimately halting and obstructing both lanes.

Due to the impact of the crash, the Oliverhurst man succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, officials confirmed that 20-year-old Shelby Little of Vacaville collided with the crashed Nissan while driving under the influence. Little was arrested and booked into the Yuba County Jail for DUI.

No further details are available regarding the DUI crash on Highway 70, as an active investigation is currently underway.
